Do you play an instrument?
Do you love show tunes and film music?
You're the one that we want
We love a good show tune or three here at the Richmond Light Orchestra and are partial to a bit of film music too! If you feel the same way and play an instrument then we'd love to hear from you.

We value enthusiasm and commitment over playing standard, however for your own enjoyment you will need to be a confident player and have some orchestral experience of following a conductor. Rather than holding auditions, we'd prefer you pop along to one or two rehearsals and decide for yourselves if we're the right fit for you.

Should players request or be invited to join the orchestra, a termly subscription fee of £95 (£65 concessionary rate for students & over 65s) is required to become a member. This fee contributes towards the costs of running the orchestra, such as venue hire, purchasing of sheet music, professional fees etc.
VACANCIES
We are currently looking for viola, double bass, horn and trombone players to join us for the ride, and we generally can always accept upper strings. The rest of our woodwind, sax and cello sections are currently full, however, we encourage you to still apply so you can be added to our waiting list. Due to the number of flute and clarinet applications we receive these instruments will not be initially acknowledged by email, but your details will be saved. You will be notified if any places become available.

If you'd like to give us a try please get in touch with us by completing the form below so we can give you more information and arrange for you to attend a forthcoming rehearsal.
